Freemasonry is the world’s oldest and largest fraternal organization and came to our state in the mid-1800s. Currently there are 10 chartered lodges in the jurisdiction which can be found in all areas of the state.

The purpose of Freemasonry is to help men better themselves through the application of our teachings which are based on moral and ethical principles and taught through the use of symbolism, allegory, and ritual. These lessons have been developed over several centuries and their principles remain constant and vital to men’s lives today. They teach us how to become better members of society at large and reinforces the lessons of how we should treat each other learned from other sources. Freemasonry has helped many men become leaders in their communities and the business world, as well as making them better husbands and fathers. It also reminds us to be of service to others and to deal with others with civility and courtesy.
